The Eastern Block
How a Stainless Steel Spot Light is constructed
Step One: Obtain an All Stainless Steel light kit.
These are not the ones that they sell at Wal-Mart. About $59.00 from a good 4-Wheeler Shop.
I buy them wholesale, of course, but you get the idea.
The shell is made in the R.O.C. as opposed to Communist China.
Disassemble and polish out the marks they left on it.

Step Two: Fabricate a handle from 5/16 304 Stainless and thread it up
to a nice phenolic ball with a brass insert. Add an all metal switch.

Step Three: Turn and thread the center post. Add All Stainless hardware and
Beryllium - Nickel Spring.

Step Four: Turn and fabricate the base. This is the Base with the
center post installed....Polish, Polish, Polish.

Step Five: Assemble the components to check their fit and give it a good polish at the wheel again.

Step Six: Fit up the electrical items and rims. Add Base Gasket. Test.
Now that it's all smudged up....Hand Polish it again..... Done.
Now wouldn't that look nice on a shiny new Retro ?
